Please, believe me if I say I have no ideas about how on hell can I develop the question “what’s in your iPod?”. Okay, I’ve start the writting, less words to finish. I guess I have to think a little bit…
First of all, let me be “original” and let's talk about music:
Music, I would like to start with it. Music is unic. I mean, it’s unbelievable how can music move millions of people. There are lyrics, melodies, voices, instruments etc. which have a meaning to us, who have been in our nice and bad moments. They’ve been with us all our life, the kind of music may change, but the meaning does not. For example, the Santa Agueda’s songs, whose melodies, in my opinion, are the personification of sadnees and melancholy. Every time I listen those slow songs, I remeber me and friends at school, shaking our tiny sticks with an horrible coordination or using them like they were swords or toys in front of adult people who tried their best smile in order not to show they were suffering. I loved that day. I supose and I hope you have your special songs too.
Next step, my music. I can say I like rock music, hard or soft. Old rock. Jazz and blues are nice too. I like jazz and soul. When I’m finding the perfect song, most of the time I look for a rythm and afterwards, the lyrics. Anyways I think both are necessary.
Now, I’m listening the radio, Euskadi Gaztea. Bruce Springsteen’s
Radio nowhere. Fantastic. But if we had to call fantastic to every Springsteen’s song we would be doing it during all the day. His last CD,
Magic, is simply perfect. I love his band, their songs, their

guitars and powerful songs. I discovered Bruce 3 years ago. I knew of him but I never heard a complete CD. When I listened Devils & Dust I understood why everybody call him “The Boss”.
But he is not the only genius, there’s another one who stars with B. Dylan.
Like a Rolling Stone, Knocking on Heaven’s Door, Mr. Tambourine Man or
Blowin’ in the wind, they don’t need a description or comment, simply Bob Dylan.
The following one is my father’s favourite.
Alternating Current / Direct Current. Angus Young and his band, AC/DC. Highway to Hell, Back in Black, Thunderstruck, You shook me all night long, Money talks,... an endless list. If you want powerful songs, please, don’t forget this brilliant asutralian band. Now, I’m waiting their new CD, Black Ice, which’s gonna be for sale this autumn.
I have to write about them. Two BIG groups: The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
Let it be, Hey Jude, Lady Madonna or
The Yellow Submarine versus
Start me up, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Satisfaction and
Angie. I cannot say more. In both groups, lyrics are too nice and songs, simply wonderful. I have to say that I prefer Paul Mcartney’s band than Mick Jagger’s one. The english band has that special point.

And, to finish this boring writting (Now I’m being serious) I’m gonna talk about the ohers, the brilliant others. Dover (
King George, Loli Jackson...), Radiohead (
Creep,...), REM (
Man on the Moon,...), Weezer (
Island in the sun) Santana (
Amazing Grace,...), Eels (
Royal Pain), Oasis (
Champagne Supernova, Don’t look back in anger,...), Dire Straits (
Walk of life,...). And of course we cannot forget a movie soundtrack: Shrek’s one. My beloved montser, You belong to me, Accidentally in love,...
And what about jazz and soul? I discovered those kind of music with my parents. Nina Simone (
My baby just cares for me) or B.B.King (
The thrill is gone) and most recently, the always polemic Amy Winehouse (
Valerie).
Well, I’ve write more than I could imagine (
Imagine, John Lennon, another unforgettable song)... There are more songs and singers but I’ve no time (and space) to write about them. Anyways, thank you if you’ve read until the end of the writting, I know it’s been hard. Now I recommend you the following video:
